Omega (Radio) was established on December 12, 2012.
Broadcasts from Stony Brook University, New York every other Monday morning at 3AM on 90.1 FM, WUSB.
Omega runs deluxe broadcasts on its own home slot featuring new, current, and favorite sounds and artists. It also runs bonus shows outside its slot, playing other sounds and artists that doesn't fit its deluxe model.
During the year, Omega features specials such as end-of-the-year "Winners Of..." (best-of) shows, Winter darkness broadcasts, Summer specials, double-deluxe days, second-chance series, and first-time-evers. In the past, it has featured holiday programming for the New Year, Leap Day, St. Patrick's Day, World Goth Day, hip-hop's birthday, Halloween, and Christmas; plus label and artist tributes.
Sounds featured on Omega are shoegaze, alternative, dreampop, jangle, indie, post-punk, d.i.y., hardcore, straight-edge, metalcore, stoner, doom, sludge, synthwave, electronic, noise rock garage, art rock, hip-hop / rap, golden era, boombox, white label, jungle, breakbeats, industrial, black metal, noise, African, Japanese, riot grrrl, experimental, jazz, soul, R&B, funk, groove, fusion, and more.
